Welcoming a new member to our management team!

Dear members and supporters of Stockport Race Equality Partnership, We are delighted to announce that Iman Yaeyer has recently joined our management team. Iman Yaeyer brings a wealth of expertise in community engagement and promoting social cohesion, with a particular focus on combating racial inequality within our diverse society.

Iman Yaeyer studied Engineering from the University in Iran and is currently lectures Maths at Bolton University.

Her research interests include community-based approaches to meeting the needs of marginalized groups, community-led social action, and interfaith dialogue. With over ten years of experience working within the third sector, Iman Yaeyer has contributed to addressing community challenges through innovative community-led initiatives, including delivering culturally-sensitive services to refugee and asylum-seeking communities.

As a community activist, she has played a pivotal role in engaging and empowering those who are often left unheard, promoting social inclusion and combating discrimination. Throughout her career, Iman Yaeyer has been committed to social justice, promoting diversity, and respect for all.

She has utilized his skills and knowledge to make a significant contribution to the social, economic, and cultural development of communities in the UK and beyond. Her passion for promoting racial equality is a shared value held by the Stockport Race Equality Partnership.

The Partnership's vision is to build a positive and inclusive community in Stockport where everyone can feel valued and celebrated regardless of their background. Our aim is to promote social cohesion through shared values, and we are committed to working towards a more equitable society for all.

We believe that the inclusion of Iman Yaeyer onto our team will enable us to deliver on this vision. Her work will involve building relationships with communities across Stockport, developing and implementing initiatives that reflect the needs and aspirations of those who are often left unheard, and working in partnership with stakeholders to ensure that we are contributing towards the creation of a more diverse, inclusive, and just society.

The addition of Iman Yaeyer to our team is timely given the recent events that have brought to the forefront issues of racial inequality that continue to afflict our societies.
